Wiring Instructions
⚡ Special Notes:
- 1. If a leakage protector is installed at the front end, the neutral wire must be led from the outlet terminal of the leakage protector to the current-limiting protector.
- 2. The product is installed in a distribution box/cabinet. It generates significant heat during operation; high-displacement fans must be installed on the door panel or both sides of the distribution box/cabinet.
- 3. The neutral wire connected to this protector is only used to supply power to the protector. Do not connect the neutral wire from the protector to terminal load equipment.
- 4. Auxiliary functions such as RS485 communication, leakage detection, and temperature sensing may not be connected in practical applications.
Other Notes
- ☑ The residual current transformer is an optional component.
- ☑ The cable temperature sensor is an optional component.
- ☑ When selecting a current-limiting protector, its set rated current must match the rated current of the upstream circuit breaker. For example, if the upstream circuit breaker has a rated current of 32A, the current-limiting protector should also be set to 32A. To ensure proper operation, it is strictly prohibited to install the protector in a circuit where its rated current does not match that of the upstream breaker.
- ☑ The current-limiting protector is designed for DIN-rail mounting and may also be installed using a hanging rope mount or inside an enclosure with good heat dissipation. Ensure the installation site is free from water leakage, corrosive gases, and deposits, and pay attention to ambient temperature and ventilation.
- ☑ Wiring should be performed according to the connection diagram. To prevent localized overheating due to excessive contact resistance or malfunction caused by poor contact, ensure all terminals are securely and firmly tightened.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q What rated current options are available for this single-phase current-limiting protector?
The single-phase EFP current-limiting protector is available in six rated current options: 20A, 32A, 40A, 50A, 63A, and 80A, making it suitable for a wide range of single-phase electrical circuits.
Q How fast is the short-circuit protection response time?
The protector features microsecond-level current-limiting protection with a short-circuit response time of less than 150 microseconds (µs), providing extremely fast circuit interruption to prevent equipment damage and fire hazards.
Q What communication methods does this protector support?
The protector supports wired RS485 communication as standard. Optional wireless communication modules include LORA, NB-IoT, and 4G, enabling remote data transmission to a cloud platform for smart electrical safety supervision and management.
Q How should the rated current of the protector be matched with the upstream circuit breaker?
The set rated current of the current-limiting protector must match the rated current of the upstream circuit breaker. For example, if the upstream breaker is rated at 32A, the protector must also be configured to 32A. Mismatched ratings are strictly prohibited to ensure safe and proper operation.
Q What installation method does this current-limiting protector use?
The protector uses standard 35mm DIN rail mounting. It can also be installed via a hanging rope mount or inside an enclosure with adequate heat dissipation. The installation environment should be free from water leakage, corrosive gases, and deposits, with attention to ambient temperature and ventilation.
Q Are the residual current transformer and cable temperature sensor included as standard?
No, both the residual current transformer and the cable temperature sensor are optional components. Auxiliary functions such as RS485 communication, leakage detection, and temperature sensing may not be connected depending on the practical application requirements.
