RM6 Fully Enclosed and Fully Insulated Gas-Insulated Ring Network Switchgear

The RM6 gas-insulated ring main unit (RMU) complies with IEC 62271-200 for medium voltage secondary distribution networks. It integrates switching and protection functions for transformer connection in open ring or radial configurations. Rated up to 24 kV, 630 A busbar current, and 21 kA / 1 s short-circuit withstand. The stainless steel tank, internal arc classification up to 20 kA AFLR, and visible earthing contacts enhance operator safety. The flexible architecture supports LSC 2A, PM partition class, and scalable automation for future-ready distribution management.

    Normal Operating Conditions

    - Temperature: Maximum 40°C (24h average ≤35°C), minimum -25°C.
    - Altitude: 12kV model up to 2000m; 24kV model up to 1000m. For higher altitudes, derating applies – consult us.
    - Sunlight: Avoid direct exposure.
    - Environment: Free from heavy dust, smoke, corrosive substances, flammable gases, vapor, and salt mist.
    - Humidity: 24h average RH ≤95%, monthly average RH ≤90%; 24h vapor pressure ≤2.2kPa, monthly ≤1.8kPa.

    While condensation is rare, it may occur under high humidity with sudden temperature changes. Proper ventilation and compliance with civil engineering standards are recommended to prevent insulation damage.
