GN30-12(D) Rotary Indoor High-Voltage Disconnector

The GN30-12 series rotary indoor high-voltage disconnector is a new type of rotary contact-blade disconnector. Its main structure consists of two sets of insulators and contacts fixed on the upper and lower planes of a common three-phase base frame, with opening and closing achieved by rotating the contact blade. The GN30-12D variant, based on the GN30-12, adds an earthing switch to meet diverse power system needs. Compact and space-saving, it offers strong insulation performance and easy installation/adjustment. Compliant with GB1985-2004 "AC High-Voltage Disconnectors and Earthing Switches", it is suitable for indoor 12kV, 50Hz power systems to switch circuits under energized, no-load conditions, and can be used with high-voltage switchgear or independently.

    Main Structure and Working Principle

    The GN30-12 series disconnector is a new rotary-type disconnector. Its main body is fixed to the upper and lower planes of the base frame via two sets of insulators, separated completely by a partition plate mounted on the base. Opening and closing operations are achieved by rotating the contact blade.
    The GN30-12D variant adds an earthing switch to meet different switchgear requirements. With contacts installed on both upper and lower planes, live and non-live parts are fully isolated inside the switchgear, ensuring absolute safety for maintenance personnel.
    The conductive part consists mainly of contact blades and contacts. Each blade, made of two copper plates fixed inside a rotating porcelain bushing with additional magnetic locking plates, has enhanced rigidity and excellent dynamic and thermal stability under short-circuit currents.
    Ball-point contact between blades and contacts reduces assembly difficulty and ensures reliable connection. The switch can be operated with JS×GN-12 or CS6-2 operating mechanisms, or with custom-designed mechanisms.
