Main Structure and Working Principle
The GN19-12 series disconnectors are available in flat-mounted (GN19-12) and wall-through (GN19-12C1) versions. Each phase of the GN19-12 conductive part is fixed to the base frame via two post insulators, while the GN19-12C1 uses one insulator and one porcelain bushing. Both types are installed in three parallel phases. The conductive part consists of contact blades and contacts; each contact blade is connected to the main shaft on the base frame via a tie rod insulator. The main shaft links to the CS6-1 operating mechanism through cranks and connecting rods, with a connecting rod (user-supplied) on the mechanism driving the auxiliary switch.
Each contact blade is made of two grooved copper plates, which increases heat dissipation area and mechanical strength, improving dynamic stability. Contact pressure is maintained by contact springs. The 1000A and 1250A versions have magnetic-locking plates at contacts to boost pressure, enhancing dynamic and thermal stability; 400A and 630A versions omit these plates due to lower current ratings and closer blade spacing. The CS6-1 mechanism has a self-locking device to hold the disconnector in open or closed positions.
