    Features

The contactor is direct-action type with double-break contact construction. Its system is divided into two layers: upper and lower. In the upper layer, there is an inrush current suppression device composed of three pairs of precharge contacts and a closing resistor. When the switch is closed, the device is first engaged, then after several milliseconds, the working contacts are engaged. The permanent magnetic latch of the precharge contacts is released by spring reaction, and the closing resistor is bypassed, so the capacitor operates normally. Contactors of 12, 18, 20kvar have two pairs of auxiliary contacts, and contactors of 30kvar have three pairs of auxiliary contacts.

Terminals of the contactors are protected by insulation covers, making them safe and reliable to use. Voltage data is marked at the terminals to avoid wrong connections. 12, 18, 20kvar contactors can be mounted not only by screws but also by clipping the bottom sliders onto 35mm standard tracks. On the front screen, there is a rectangular white plate which can be torn off. Users can print the item code on this plate.

    Frequently Asked Questions
What is the CJ19 series contactor used for?
The CJ19 series contactor is specifically designed for switching capacitor banks in reactive power compensation systems. It features an inrush current suppression device to safely connect and disconnect power factor correction capacitors, preventing damage from transient inrush currents.
What rated current options are available for the CJ19 contactor?
The CJ19(16) series is available in four rated current specifications for 400V capacitors: 25A, 32A, 43A, and 63A, corresponding to models CJ19(16)-25, CJ19(16)-32, CJ19(16)-43, and CJ19(16)-63 respectively.
What coil voltage options are available?
The CJ19 contactor supports a wide range of coil voltage options including 24V, 36V, 48V, 110V, 127V, 220V, 380V, 415V, 550V, and 660V at 50Hz. These are available per user requirements to accommodate different control circuit configurations.
How is the inrush current suppressed in the CJ19 contactor?
The CJ19 contactor uses an inrush current suppression device comprising three pairs of precharge contacts and a closing resistor. When closing, the precharge contacts engage first, then after a few milliseconds the main working contacts close. The permanent magnetic latch is released by spring action, bypassing the closing resistor so the capacitor operates normally.
    What mounting methods are supported?
The 12, 18, and 20kvar CJ19 contactors support two mounting methods: traditional screw mounting and DIN rail mounting by clipping the bottom sliders onto standard 35mm tracks, providing flexible installation options for different panel configurations.
What short-circuit protection is recommended for the CJ19 contactor?
For the main circuit protecting 400V capacitors, RT19-type cylindrical fuses are recommended, with the rated current calculated according to the corresponding formula (typically 1.5~2.5 times the rated current Ie). For the control circuit with capacitors rated below 500V, RT19-type gF fuses rated at 16A are recommended.
