Product Features
- The carefully designed coil structure and vacuum impregnation process result in low partial discharge for the SG(B)10 transformer, with no cracking or insulation degradation throughout its service life.
- The high-voltage side adopts a continuous winding, and the low-voltage side uses foil winding. The whole unit undergoes vacuum impregnation and curing, supported by high-strength ceramic insulators, providing excellent resistance to sudden short-circuit currents.
- Flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, non-toxic, and fireproof.
- Almost no smoke is generated when the SG(B)10 transformer is burned under high-temperature open flame.
- The transformer uses Class H (180°C) insulation, with DuPont NOMEX® paper (Class C) as the main insulation material.
- The insulation layer is extremely thin and uniform, enabling strong short-time overload capacity. It can operate at 120% load continuously and 140% load for 3 hours without forced cooling. Thanks to the non-aging and elastic properties of the insulation material, it can immediately carry full load at -50°C.

Frequently Asked Questions
What insulation class and materials are used in the SG(B)10 transformer?
The SG(B)10 transformer utilizes Class H (180°C) insulation, with DuPont NOMEX® paper (Class C) serving as the primary insulation material. This thin, uniform insulation layer ensures long-term reliability without cracking or degradation.
Can the SG(B)10 transformer handle overloads and extreme cold temperatures?
Yes. The transformer features strong short-time overload capacity, allowing it to operate continuously at 120% load and up to 140% load for 3 hours without forced cooling. Due to the elastic and non-aging properties of its insulation, it can also immediately carry full load at temperatures as low as -50°C.
What are the fire safety characteristics of this transformer?
The SG(B)10 transformer is flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, non-toxic, and fireproof. Furthermore, it generates almost no smoke even when subjected to combustion under high-temperature open flames.
How does the design prevent short-circuits and partial discharge?
The high-voltage side features continuous winding while the low-voltage side uses foil winding. The entire unit is vacuum impregnated and cured, and supported by high-strength ceramic insulators. This structure ensures excellent resistance to sudden short-circuit currents and keeps partial discharge exceptionally low.
Which standards do SG(B)10 series transformers comply with?
They comply with major industry standards including GB6450-1986, GB/T10228-1997, GB/T17211-1998, GB1094.3-2003, JB/T10088-2004, and JB/T56009-1998.
