    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What does the type designation code of the SJKM1 Molded Case Circuit Breaker represent?
The type designation code of the SJKM1 MCCB includes information about the manufacturer code, molded case circuit breaker code, design code, frame size, short-circuit breaking capacity level, operation method, number of poles, trip unit method & file code, function code, and N-pole type code. Each position in the code corresponds to a specific parameter of the product.
What are the differences between the N-pole types (A, B, C, D) in the SJKM1 MCCB?
Types A and B have no over-current release element on the N-pole. Type A keeps the N-pole always connected (independent of other poles), while Type B operates the N-pole together with the other three poles (closing first, opening last). Types C and D have an over-current release element on the N-pole. Type C operates with the other poles (closing first, opening last), while Type D keeps the N-pole always connected.
What are the normal operating and installation conditions for the SJKM1 MCCB?
The SJKM1 MCCB operates normally at ambient temperatures from -5°C to +40°C, at altitudes not exceeding 2000m, with a pollution degree of Grade 3 and installation category of Category III. It can be installed horizontally, vertically, or flat without any reduction in electrical performance.
What breaking capacity levels are available for the SJKM1 MCCB series, and what do they mean?
The SJKM1 MCCB series offers four breaking capacity levels: E (Economy type), M (Standard type), H (Higher-reliability type), and L (High-breaking type). These codes indicate the short-circuit breaking capability and design reliability of the circuit breaker, with higher levels offering increased breaking capacity values (Icu/Ics) at rated voltages.
What accessories are available for the SJKM1 MCCB, and how are they coded?
The SJKM1 MCCB supports a variety of accessories including alarm contacts, shunt releases, auxiliary contacts, under-voltage releases, and combinations thereof. Each configuration is assigned a specific numeric code (e.g., 200 for no accessory, 210 for shunt release only, 220 for auxiliary contact, etc.). Both instantaneous and compound release modes have separate code tables.
What frame sizes and rated current ranges are available in the SJKM1 MCCB series?
    The SJKM1 MCCB series covers a wide range of frame sizes from SJKM1-63 up to SJKM1-1250. Rated current ranges vary by frame: SJKM1-63 covers 10A–63A, SJKM1-125 covers 16A–125A, SJKM1-250 covers 100A–250A, SJKM1-400 covers 225A–400A, SJKM1-630 covers 400A–630A, SJKM1-800 covers 630A–800A, and SJKM1-1250 covers 800A–1250A, available in 2-pole, 3-pole, and 4-pole configurations.
